He directed 250 engineering reports at the corporate offices in San Diego, at an engineering and design center in Guangdong province in Southern China, and at two China manufacturing centers in the Sichuan province in Southwest China.
At Knorr-Bremse as GM Richard directed Operations and PMO as well as leadership of the Software, Systems, Mechanical, and Senior Staff where he expanded operations in North America, Australia, and the Middle East taking annual revenue from $9M to $42M within three years. He emplaced a new vision incorporating realignment and turnaround of the Train Dynamic Systems Division, upgrading performance and culture and reenergizing employees and external stakeholders.
At STMicroelectronics Richard executed multi-site management of teams in Dallas, Phoenix, and San Diego while cultivating a world-class team of top technical talent from around the globe to generate automation efficiencies and cost savings of $36.6M annually as well as international customer facing roles for product quality in the medical, automotive, and telecom markets.
Richard holds a Master of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Science degree from Southern Methodist University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Texas at Dallas.
Richard holds active professional certificates as a PMP (Professional Project Manager) and as a LSS-MBB, (Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt). His professional societies include IEEE, ISA, and PMI, (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, International Society of Automation, and the Project Management Institute).
